The cooperation between WBS Warszawa and Borussia Dortmund is blooming! A total of 7 WBS coaches have already completed an internship at BVB. This time, the trainers of the teams 2010, 2004 and 2009 went to our partner club for some valuable work experience.
At the end of February, Justyna Piskorz, Wojciech Wieczorkiewicz and Igor Wacikowski went on a 5-day intensive training internship to Dortmund.
During this time:
➡️They visited the famous footbonaut arena
➡️They visited the BVB training center
➡️They watched the control matches of youth groups
➡️They exchanged experience with BVB trainers
➡️They actively participated in the junior teams training of the Borussia Dortmund
"I have been on the Borussia Dortmund facilities four times, but for the first time in the Brackel training center." The sports infrastructure and the work organization of both the players and the training staff made the greatest impression on me. Every team has three coaches who watch if the exercises are done accurately and correctly. Discipline and personal culture are there at a very high level, and the players do not leave the training until they cleane up all the equipment." - said Wojciech Wieczorkiewicz after his arrival - coach of the team 2009 WBS Warszawa.
Our trainers had also an opportunity to talk with trainers of all teams at the Borussia Dortmund Academy.
"Great accent is placed in the youngest categories on strong pass and very good ball control by both legs. Before training, they have a part for developing motor skills. In junior categories they have the basics of running technique, while older ones are fixed on fostering the running technique" - adds Igor Wacikowski, coach of the 2004 WBS Warszawa team.
We are happy that cooperation with our partner club allows us to see how the best youth academies in Europe train and transfer this to the training and matches of the WBS Warszawa Football Academy.
