We invite you to a short summary of Max Morawietz's performances at the friendly tournament of the Polish U-17 team in the Spanish Albir!
From November 11 to 15, 2021, the friendly Football Federations Cup took place in Albir, Spain, in which the U-17 teams of Poland, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Norway and the Netherlands took part. It was the first training camp of the Polish national team for our graduate, and now a player of Escola Varsovia, Max Morawietz!
The Poles did not start the tournament well and lost 3-4 to Mexico. Max appeared on the pitch in the second half and brought a lot of energy into the actions of the white and reds. Although the Poles were leading with the Mexicans 3-2 until the 88th minute, in the last minutes of the match the referee dictated two penalties for the visiting team, and in the end they scored three points.

In the second match, the Poles played against the Czech national team. Our neighbors from the south dominated the first half, but were unable to document their advantage with a goal. In this phase of the match, Dariusz Gęsior's players were limited to defense and sporadic counterattacks. Until the break we did not watch the goals and the coach decided to make changes, which brought a lot of energy to the actions of Poles and finally resulted in goals. The Polish team won 3-0 against the Czech Republic, and Max Morawietz, who entered the pitch in the second part of the match, gave a very solid change. During the match, we could watch a lot of fights and physical duels, but thanks to the effectiveness, the Poles could enjoy a certain win.

For the last match of the tournament against Norway, Max Morawietz was in the first squad of the Polish national team. The meeting with the high-ranking rival was at a very good level and both teams impressed with their technique, but the Poles were able to document it. In the 18th minute of the match, Max Morawietz broke away from the opponents' defenders and after a good perpendicular pass he placed the ball in the net, thus scoring his first goal in the national team! Congrats, MAX! Playing in position number "10" Max was driving the actions of the white and reds, but in the first half the ball did not enter the opponents' goal anymore. In the second half, the Polish national team confirmed their good disposition, scoring a second goal at the end of the match and setting the score at 2-0. The Poles in the final table gained the same number of points as the Czechs, but thanks to a better goal balance they won the friendly tournament!

Max, congratulations on the successful start of the adventure with the Polish U-17 team and we look forward to further successes! :)
